This therapeutic treatment involves the insertion and burning of an ear candle (a hollow tube made from beeswax and cotton) into the opening of the ear canal.

Candling creates a gentle vacuum in the eustachian tube, facilitating the removal of any excessive moisture and wastes.  It is a safe and non-invasive technique that may provide relief in chronic sinus conditions, the sensation of 'blocked' ears &/ or to assist lymphatic flow through the eustachian tubes.

It is not suitable for use in conditions associcated with acute ear infections, pain, inflammation or perforated ear drums.
